Dan Reynolds, TalonDan Reynolds
Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Dan is an industry visionary and entrepreneur, recognized for his determination to build a world-class talent solutions organization by establishing uncompromising standards of service and performance excellence. In 2006 and 2007 Dan was a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® in New Jersey, and in 2006, he was named to the NJBIZ’s top 40 under 40 list.

As the CEO and founder of Talon, Dan has led Talon through strong, consistent growth since its inception in 2001. A driven leader, he oversees all business strategy and execution while guiding his leadership team to reach new heights. He has also led his Talon team to make the prestigious INC 500/5000 year after year.

Dan graduated from Rutgers University, College of Engineering, with a bachelor of science in chemical engineering.

Brian has been the president of Talon since 2008. As part of Talon’s executive leadership, he oversees the company’s financial operations, and is responsible for investigating and developing strategic alliances that can contribute to Talon’s growth and strengthen service offerings to clients.

A seasoned business executive, Brian has a background of 35 years in IT and consulting. His career began in 1974 at AT&T Bell Laboratories, where he worked for nine years on sophisticated data management systems.

In 1983, Brian established his own IT professional services consulting company, which he subsequently merged with Regal Data Systems in 1985. As executive vice president at Regal, he oversaw all day-to-day operations and led the company to $27 million in revenue for each of the next 10 years. In 1996, COREStaff acquired Regal, making Brian vice president of the Northeast Division of Metamor Information Technology Services.

In 2003, Brian founded ZI Solutions LLC and presided over its successful growth for four years. As the company approached its fifth birthday, an exciting new opportunity arose to join forces with Talon. A merger soon followed.

Brian obtained his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the City University of New York, Queens College, and holds a master’s degree in computer science and electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Joe Kelly, TalonJoe Kelly
Chief Operating Officer

Joe is an industry veteran with more than 20 years of operational staffing experience in a variety of senior leadership roles. He has repeatedly been recognized across the industry for his results-oriented management and leadership skills. As Talon’s Chief Operating Officer since 2006, Joe has been responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Talon’s sales and delivery arms while honoring the firm’s commitment to helping its staff, consultants and clients reach their goals.

His leadership has been integral in Talon achieving numerous industry awards, most recently a 2015 Inavero Best of Staffing, a 2015 NJBIZ Best Places to Work in New Jersey, and a 2014 Techserve Alliance Excellence Award. Talon’s tremendous growth under Joe’s direction has landed them a spot on the Inc. 5000 for the past five years in a row.

Prior to joining Talon, Joe was a senior program manager for Kelly Vendor Management Solutions where he was chiefly responsible for streamlining Johnson & Johnson’s award-winning JJ PRO VMS program. Prior to that role, Joe was an integral member of the senior team as an associate vice president at Pomerantz Staffing Services (now CoWorx Staffing Services). At Pomerantz, Joe managed operations across multiple regions and functional areas, and played an instrumental role in enhancing the company’s capabilities and driving its growth.

Joe holds a bachelor of science in business administration from Rider University.

Bob Lanza, TalonBob Lanza
Vice President, Sales

Bob is responsible for building a strong client development culture throughout the Talon organization, ensuring that strategic relationships are developed and maintained by adhering to established Talon processes, values and culture. He brings over 30 years of staffing experience to this role, with deep expertise in successfully building strong sales organizations and the art of strategic, organic growth through savvy acquisitions.

Bob’s mission is to lead a team of IT staffing professionals who understand and organize IT initiatives, designing staffing solutions to keep those initiatives on time and budget.

Bob’s career began with Pomerantz Staffing, where for 20 years he was instrumental in building a three-branch firm into a nationwide provider of staffing solutions. Bob is also the owner of Sales Team Solutions, a staffing consulting firm that developed an industry-specific assessment tool now used by staffing firms everywhere to evaluate frontline staff. Prior to joining Talon, Bob also served as director of business development for Joule Clinical and Scientific Staffing.

A sought-after keynote speaker for industry events, Bob writes a monthly column in StaffDigest Magazine and has authored two books, “Your Staffing Soul-Devotion to Sales Culture” and “Your Staffing Soul-Finding Sales Salvation.”

Bob holds a Bachelor of Arts from Montclair State University and maintains both the CSP and TSC certifications from the American Staffing Association.

Sean Castor, TalonSean Castor
Manager, Recruiting

Sean is responsible for ensuring that Talon’s recruiting team delivers best-in-class candidates to fulfill client needs by identifying resources who fit both the cultural and technical components in a competitive Information Technology marketplace. He is focused on training, mentoring, and developing the recruiting team to find candidates through traditional and nontraditional sources while providing top talent and superior service by applying Talon’s values and cultural standards.

Prior to joining Talon, Sean began his career working for Apex Systems as both a Technical Recruiter and Account Manager. During this time he was selected to aid in the efforts to open an office in Jacksonville, Florida. Following his time with Apex, Sean worked with several small staffing firms in the Tri-State area to help grow direct, end-client business. In 2010, Sean joined Talon as he saw an opportunity to develop and grow with a top-notch leadership and delivery team.

He is a member of Talon’s Stars program and been a top producer in helping Talon reach the Inc. 500/5000 in each of the years he has been with the organization.

Sean graduated from Elon University with a bachelor’s degree in history.
