System Integrator

Title: System Integrator
Status: Contract (12+ months) 
Location: Remote (25% Travel)

The Advanced Integration team is responsible for the end-to-end installation, configuration, integration, commissioning, and testing of complex next-generation digital video systems. As an Advanced Integration Engineer, you will be part of a highly collaborative team contributing to multiple phases of the systems life cycle from design to support.

We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter who has a robust appetite for learning, collaborating, and deploying solutions for our customers. As such, strong communication and documentation skills are vital, in addition to a passion for delivering high-quality products.


Responsibilities
Working in a highly collaborative environment as part of a worldwide team

• Develop and execute plans to change the configuration of components within the production video ecosystems.

• Develop and execute plans to complete the decommissioning process of legacy video services in a production system

• Perform system integration and decommissioning activities to successfully carry out changes

• Troubleshooting deployment and integration issues as part of acceptance

• Liaising with engineering when identified bugs or feature deficits

• Assisting in validation and testing of product builds

• Occasional travel to customer sites may be required

• Overnight work may be required, for customer installs and upgrades.

Requirements

• 5+ Years Digital Video experience

• 3-5 years’ experience in Video Operations or Advanced engineering roles

• Must have prior working experience with CommScope Digital Access Controller (DAC)

• Must be able to explain in writing and verbally how cable video distribution system components work together

• 5+ Years of Unix/Linux experience

• 5+ Years of Networking experience

• 3+ Years of Scripting

• Good written and spoken communications skills.

Desired Skills and Experiences

• Preferred BS in Computer Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

• Experience in doing complex video network integration projects

• Video On Demand platform experience

• Switched Digital Video Architecture experience

• Video Operations experience in a major MSO is a plus
